Who is Jesus Christ?

SERENADED BY JESUS.

Coming to Christian Life Program (CLP), hearing about Jesus, on a bright, lazy Sunday afternoon, with the cool breeze of Tagaytay slowly combing your hair can be mistaken as Jesus’ singing a lullaby.  But for most of CFC Singles for Christ (SFC) Tagaytay-Amadeo (Tag-Ama), being members of the Couples for Christ (CFC) community for quite so long, it is a way of living.

Bearing the heaviness of the eyelids, keeping the ears in its orderly function, just to restrain oneself from going to dream land without a dose of caffeine, is an extraordinary feat.  To save the participants from this herculean task, Tag-Ama Chapter thought of presenting the talks in a creative, and more interesting way.

Tag-Ama is very fortunate to have Bro Khalil Balquin ( Provincial Music Min member) to introduce who Jesus Christ is through his God-given talent…dancing!  Obviously, it’s music – singing and playing instrument.

Khalil, which literally means a friend.  Just like Abraham, a friend of Jesus.  And just like Superman, Kal-el.  “Maliit na nga ako, maliit pa ego ko.  So tataasan ko na!”, he said with a humble smile.

“JUST THE WAY YOU ARE”.

This song popularized by Bruno Mars, is also God’s song for all of us from the moment we wake up.  “Kahit ano pa mang tingin ng iba sa ‘yo, you’re amazing”, he added.

UNIQUE CHARACTER.

Jesus, the man who changed the world; whose birth is expected; who came to the world to die; who attracts crowds more the any heartthrob combined; who has a mind wiser than any wise men; who has a strong body; who is down to earth and courageous at the same time; and who has extraordinary authority.

Through songs, he shared who Jesus Christ is.  Here’s part of the rap by Puff Daddy that he used:

“Lord You mean the world to me
Before I was born You chose me
You always hear me when I’m calling
Even catch me when I’m falling
You’re the closest one to me
I surrender all to Thee
I want the whole wide world to see
That we’ve always been and we’ll always be best friends”

A FACE TO DIE FOR.

“Itong mukhang ‘to, may namatay na para sa akin…si Jesus!”  Indeed He died for all of us, long before we were born.

Here’s part of the end song (no the succession of the lines) he used at the end of his talk.

“When I think about the Lord…
I can face my fears in solid ground…
Makes me wanna shout Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!…
Lord You’re worthy…
All of our praise…”

Truly everyone was serenaded by Jesus.

BACK AT SQUARE ONE.

The second Sunday of CLP came.  It wasn’t like the previous Sunday and it was kinda surprisingly different but perfect!

In the absence of the female participants, Mhar was added on the list.  Thanks Kathleen!

But the thing is, it was the team who was moved with the talks they heard.  Absolutely, it was the Holy Spirit working!  The team haven’t heard such talks for a long time because of the absence of some.  And with this CLP, it’s more about the team rather than the participants.  ‘Twas just in CLP that some of the members of the team switches on the ‘Active’ button.

THERE IS ALWAYS A FIRST TIME.

Thank you for sharers, Guian, Istine and Thessa.  They’re just a few of the numerous testimonies of God’s Endless Love.

GMA TALENTS.

Truly indeed, our brethren from Gen. Mariano Alvarez are genuine God-Missions-in-Amadeo Talents!  Thank you Bro. Cernan for telling us who Jesus Christ is; Bro. Tony and Sis. Lei for sharing What It Means To Be A Christian.
